Siamese, Orientals and Egyptian Maus in Cambridgeshire

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you breed Siamese & Orientals?

I have a life long passion and love of Siamese and Orientals, they are fantastic companions, incredibly intelligent and loving.  My first Siamese was called 'Whinge-a-lot' a chocolate point girl, aptly named as she was very talkative, I remember her waiting for me at the door when I would get home from School, I was devastated when I lost her to mammary cancer, she was only nine years old.

Do your cats go outside?

My cats go out in an enclosed run during the day when the weather permits, our cattery is purpose built, and is fully heated.  Visiting queens to Harvey have separate queens quarters.

Do you show your cats?

We have been showing cats for a number of years, I tend to stay loacally within 2 hours travelling of home.

How many litters of kittens do you have per year?

We have one litter per queen about every 10 - 12 months.

When can I visit your kittens?

Prospective kitten families are encouraged to visit from when the kittens are 6 weeks old.

What is included in my kitten pack?

We provide your new kittens regular food and cat litter to last a few days, toys, information leaflets, photo CD, four generation laminated pedigree, GCCF registration , vaccination certificate, a comprehensive kitten care booklet, a copy of our kitten agreement, purchase reciept, contact cards, & neutering certificate.

Is my kitten insured?

Six weeks kitten insurance from Petplan is provided from date of sale, although we reccommend that you insure new kittens for unexpected vet bills,  you are under no obligation to continue with the insurance that is provided.

How much are your kittens?

Our kittens prices reflect the quality of our babies, and the amount of time and devotion spent in raising them. Males and females are priced the same regardless if they are for pet or show.

Can I let my kitten outside?

Whilst we do not advise on letting a valuable pedigree cat outside, we do appreciate that everyone has different preferences.  Cats can live a very happy life as an indoor cat when given enough attention and stimulation.  Our cats have access to an all weather outside run, but much prefer to stay indoors when the weather isn't as nice.  We do not ask you to sign a contract stating that you won't let your kitten outside ever, but ask that you are sensible about allowing out doors access.

Can I show my kitten?

We don't insist that you show our kittens, we prefer that our kittens go to loving forever homes as spoilt family pets. We will try to advise you on the show quality of our kittens and their potential on the show bench, unfortunately we cannot guarantee that they will have show success, but you are more than welcome to give it a go.

Can I breed my kitten?

We do not normally sell kittens on the GCCF active register, please contact us if you are looking for an active registered kitten, if we can't help we may know someone who can.

How old will my kitten be before I can bring him / her home?

No kitten leaves us until they are at least 13 weeks old, or 7 days after the second set of vaccinations.

Can I have a discount if I buy two kittens?

Yes, we are happy to give a discount for two kittens purchased from the same litter.

Will my kitten come with Vaccinations?

All our kittens are vaccinated at 9 & 12 weeks prior to leaving us.

When should I worm my kitten?

Your kitten has been wormed with Panacur worming paste every two weeks from 5 weeks old, it is recommended that this is continued up until the age of six months old, and then every 3 - 6 months there after.

Have the kittens been treated for fleas?

No - our kittens are raised indoors and none of our adult cats have fleas.
